Fryingpan TH - Summerland - Panhandle Gap - Indian Bar and back.
We did a 1-nighter. I got my permit in email. You have to reserve it at least 1 week in advance, before not more than 1 month in advance.
Flowers around Summerland, and on the way to Indian Bar are excellent. Should be good for another week. Spectacular view from Summerland and onward.
Still some snow left near Panhandle Gap. But nothing difficult. We carried micro-spikes, but didn't use them.
Saw goats around the gap, a grouse with 5 baby chicks.
Many hikers from the Fryingpan TH to Panhandle Gap. Very few after gap. If you want to avoid crowd, need to come mid-week, or hike up from the southern TH at Box Canyon.
