I hiked the alpine circuit from Lake O'Hara to Oesa via Wiwaxy Gap and then to the Opabin Plateau via the Yukness Ledges route. From Opabin Lake I scrambled up Yukness Mountain. I got lost going up and coming down, so I went straight back to Lake O'Hara afterwards, and finished the All Soul's route the next day, then continued onto Lake Macarthur and then Odaray Grandview. Lake Macarthur is possibly the nicest colored lake I've ever seen. Odaray Grandview really is the biggest view, but the alpine circuit is such an awesome trail. Non-stop views, super cool route. If you hustle a bit when you get off the bus, you'll likely be ahead of everyone and not see anyone for a few hours. Opabin Plateau seems to be the most crowded. The whole area is such a photographer's playground. So many angles and nooks and crannies. The larch are in their peak color display this week. If you're taking a camera with you, allow lots of time to stop and take pictures.
