Follow the Cerise Creek trail to Keith's Hut (check out for updates on that trail).
From Keith's Hut, go up the moraine onto Anniversary glacier. Follow it up to the Joffre-Matier col. Go over a Bergshrund and up the northeast face of Matier. Snow slope steepens up to 45 degrees near the final scramble on the rock towards the summit. create

Absolutely perfect conditions to climb Matier. The glacier is still snow covered on the right hand side. We ascended the steep snow route and descended via the rock scramble. I didn't realize you could do this as a scramble and that it's really quite easy that way - no exposure, no tricky moves, just nice boulders and ledges, and even cairns along the way! You do of course have to travel the glacier a bit. Incredible views all around :)
