The cumulative elevation gain was probably around 2100m...
Snow started soon after the hidden intersection to go up Brunswick instead of Hat Mt. Snowshoes were necessary at first to avoid postholing, but the snow got really hard in the forest and I put my crampons on, much faster! Once on the East side of Brunswick, the snow was much softer and many sluffs and recent slides were visible. We had to cross a few. In the gully, natural snow slide happened all the time as we were going back down. Bad timing, just as the snow was warming up and being released constantly. Crampons and ice axe are a good idea at the moment. The gully was fully covered in snow and is really steep. Whyle contouring Brunswick, the snow was much deeper and quite nice, again snowshoes were necessary. On the south slope of Harvey, the snow was really soft, humid and heavy. The snow is present all the way down to the logging road. It is snow free after the intersection with the trail going to the Lions.
