An exciting mountaineering objective from the popular Moraine Lake area. Once you pass the crowds, walk to the back of the lake, cross the outflow and follow the cairns in the boulders. The route is mostly scrambling but a 5.7 section that's chained requires climbing. You can clip directly into the chain and some awkward moves must be made at the top of the flake. Afterwards there is a horizontal traverse to the right over some ledges that are also best protected in case you slip. The next section brings you to the start of the glacier which is mostly mild but does have crevasses to navigate to the Neil Colgan hut. Once at the hut, you can drop gear and do the easy 20 min scramble up to Mount Bowlen which has unparalled views of Moraine lake below, Mount Temple, and Deltaform, as well the entire valley of the 10 peaks which appear on the Canadian 20 dollar bill. To return you can use a number of rapell stations on the route or exit via the schiesser ledges.
