Listed as a top 10 hike for the island, so figured I better check it out.
It was a long 12 hour day round trip of approximate 36km if you include the exploration of the various camp sites and lake areas including a loop around the Forbidden Plateau area. Be careful though... on paper elevation gain is only about 1000m, but the reality is cumulative gain is closer to 1800m.
Its a beautiful area with much variation in terrain and to boot, weather as well.
I have hundreds of photos from just this hike, but I distilled them down into a much smaller set to leave most of this to be experienced when you get there.
There are some great camping options along the way which would also make this more pleasant for most. Doing this in one day is difficult. Breaking it up into 2 or even 3 would classify as moderate to easy.

Have fun out there and be safe!
