5 mile RT according to the sign. 4 mile RT according to WTA. Very enjoyable hike + minor scrambling fun on the top.
The bottom 1/3 is flat the rain forest like, typical in Olympic Peninsular.
Middle 1/3 is conifer, with occasional views to your right through the trees.
Upper 1/3 is dry ridge with madrone trees and a few ropes to help you along.
View of Crescent Lake is unsurpassed, and on a clear day, view of the strait and Canada.
