Nice place to ramble around. More details and photos coming soon.
Some notes to expand further:
- 18 waterbars, 2 semi easy with 2wd, the rest require 4x4, last 1km of road to trail head will provide a thorough "BC Paintjob" with the Alders having overgrown the roadway
- black bear spotted 15 minutes below us on the boulder fields, did not see it again
- did not see a single soul the entire day
- water sources: you move close to the creek a few times during the hike and the lake at the base of July of course I started a new hiking meetup...check out whats coming next!BC Peaks & Trails Hiking Group- trail marked well with flagging (90%), including many little cairns along the boulder fields, but once at the lake you are pretty much on your own to decide the best route to the ridge and over to the peak
- bug: no big deal, almost none
- peak was pretty windy, guessing due to the lay of the land
Have fun out there, stay safe and see you on the trails!
Regards, Rex.
