We did this hike on a hot day. There is not much tree canopy in this trail. We were exposed to the sun more than half of the time of our hike. There is no water source except in the initial create located just before the trailhead. If you happen doing the trail in similar conditions, extra water helps.
Finding the trailhead is not easy. It is marked by a small silver sign on a tree, which is not that visible. The trailhead is located right after a bridge which itself is located after the power station. There is another bridge located before the power station and about 0.5Km before the proper bridge. Parking is located on the left side of the logging road where there are about 6 spots available.
I was also surprised by an alternative trail which I haven't seen before. It offers a gentler grade and less exposed than the main trail. The alternative trail is marked by green ribbons. It doesn't seem to be followed often and in a couple of locations, it is not easy to find. It does merge into the main trail at about 350m of elevation gain at the picture of the waterfall. There was also a wasp nest located on the alternative trail that one wasp managed to stung me quite painfully.
We return back following the logging road which goes for about 3Km and another 1Km on the main logging road back to the car. The connection between the trail and the logging road is not obvious at least where we did it. We kind of bushwhacked through about 100m.
This was a pretty rewarding and challenging trail.
